A Note from the Director

It’s hard to believe it’s already been two months since I stepped into the role of Executive Director here at the Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce. It’s been a great start, and I’m truly grateful for the warm welcome and support from so many of you. I’m excited to continue building momentum and getting out to meet more of our amazing members face to face!

As a reminder, the Chamber office is open for visitors Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. As this is a part-time role, we’re excited to announce that we’re looking for a summer intern to help ensure our members continue receiving the very best from their Chamber experience.

What Is a Chamber of Commerce?

A Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization that works to support and strengthen the local business community. While we do help coordinate community events, our core mission goes far beyond event planning.

We focus on:

• Business advocacy

• Member promotion

• Community development

• Networking opportunities

• Economic growth initiatives

Everything we do is designed to create a strong, connected, and thriving environment for businesses in Mitchell County. Whether it’s sharing your promotions through Chamber Chat, advocating for local needs, or helping new businesses find their footing, we’re here to support your success.

Finally, if you're a Chamber member and would like to schedule a time for me to stop by with coffee and chat about how the Chamber can benefit your business, I’d love to connect. Use the link below to reserve a spot on my calendar—we’re here to serve you.

All the best,

Reminder: Chamber Chat is here for YOU!

We’re streamlining Chamber Chat to focus entirely on Chamber member content. Here’s what you can expect to see featured each week:

• Business specials

• Events

• Job Openings

• Milestones

• Restaurant offerings and more!

This focused format will help us better promote the great things our members are doing—and make it easier for the community to stay in the loop.

It’s a direct result of our shared vision to create meaningful, community-driven events that benefit both our members and the broader region. Event information and registration to come! Chamber Operations – This week, we coordinated with the City to ensure the downtown speaker system is ready for Memorial Weekend, worked with H&R Block to keep our financial records current, and finalized the Memorial Weekend event poster. We also scheduled an upcoming planning meeting with Sarah LaRosh to prepare for our next Lunch & Learn.

We remain committed to transparency, collaboration, and celebrating progress—big or small—as we support our members and the broader Mitchell County community.
