The Chamber enables local businesses to stay connected. It encourages activities for the community which helps businesses thrive. The Beloit Area is fortunate to have strong leadership that has created a solid foundation for the Chamber and its members to grow and accomplish success even through challenging times.

How Does The Chamber Work?

The Chamber currently has over 160 business members that financially support a professionally staffed office. The staff helps carry out the goals and objectives set each year by the members. The elected Board of Directors governs the staff. Committees and task forces accomplish local goals, while the staff conducts the business of the organization and works on goals requiring full-time attention.

Why Is It Important To Have An Active Chamber?

An excellent Chamber of Commerce means the difference between a stagnant town and a thriving community. The majority of economic development progress, business retention and expansion success, quality of life solutions, and many other positive growth elements come directly from Chamber activity and participation.

The Big Picture

It takes time, money, and people to make a difference in any community. From quality of life to business advocacy, the Chamber plays a vital role in the strength of our community. Without the investment of our members, the Chamber would not be able to do its job.

Mandy Head Shot.jpg

Mandy Fincham has taken the role of Business Champion through the Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce. She not only is handling the day-to-day operations of the chamber business, she’s rooting for local business as only a business owner can.

Growing up in rural western Kansas and earning her Bachelor’s of Communication degree in a small midwestern college in Iowa, she knows and loves the rural lifestyle.

She’s active with the Kansas Sampler Foundation and is truly a Kansan by Choice! Her and her family are active travelers to rural areas and have a family travel blog that focuses on rural communities. She opened Kettle Coffee, a local coffee shop and eatery, in 2015 from the ground up. After 10 years of ups and downs, she has closed her business. She feels with her extensive knowledge of owning and managing a business for 10 years, she can be a huge asset to the local business community.

“I want to see our community thrive! And that means healthy and meaningful businesses,” says Fincham. “I feel I have a unique perspective as a business owner, past chamber board member, and volunteer at many community functions.”

Mandy will continue regular chamber office hours, Monday and Wednesdays from 8-12. But she’s happy to meet outside of those hours. Her email is beloitchamber@nckcn.com and her phone number 785-738-2717.
