Responsibilities

All Areas
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area

Role

The role of this position is to manufacture metal products using machines that employ lasers and computerized equipment. It is important that someone in this position always pays attention to the machine to ensure that it is working properly. They are responsible for the daily setup and operation of one or more CNC cutting machines. They will also assist other CNC operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping, maintenance work, part’s cleaning and material staging.

Responsibilities

Responsible to Set up, operate, shut down procedures and maintain CNC lasers to produce parts using setup instructions, shop orders and prints
Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with company quality standards
Download laser programs and modify them, as needed, to optimize performance and part yield
Locates and verifies material required to produce parts per shop order, may recommend material sheet change to optimize part yield or to take advantage of drop-off material
Enters machine settings for laser cutting operation to ensure correct lens, nozzle, assist gases and laser head are in place
Monitors equipment performance throughout cycle to ensure optimal operation of laser and reports to supervisor any maintenance needs
Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
Inspects and measures parts to maintain quality records including verifying set-up piece and submission to Quality of 1st article for inspection or other required quality procedures
Observes levels of assist gasses, changes tanks as required and recommends supply requirements for daily production
Deburrs parts or performs other secondary operations during machine cycle, when needed
Stack or load finished items on palates and rout to correct next routing step departments
Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors or to obtain approval to continue production.
Implement changes to machine programs, and enter new specifications, using computers
Set up future jobs while machines are operating.
Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and rags.
Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Stage raw materials at each work-center for the day’s production
Load and unload machines
Maintain daily dust collector service and associated logbook in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies
Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the scheduling department.
Assist in loading and unloading team members’ machines when production requires additional manpower to maintain throughput
Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Painter to be a part of a highly motivated team working on painting parts and equipment for seeding and tillage equipment. Your job responsibilities will include preparing parts and equipment for painting, maintaining clean gauges, painting tools and work areas for the best looking, most professionally finished final products. Being a team player and a willingness to make suggestions for constant improvement in both processes and safety are a key for being successful.

All positions are available on 1st Shift:

Monday – Friday: 6am – 4:30pm daily

Overtime as needed.


Responsibilities

Prepare surface (s) to be painted

Observe machine gauges, paint tools / equipment operation and paint application to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary

Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using viscometers

Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines

Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using automated paint mixing equipment

Set up and operate and clean paint tools / machines to paint or coat products with such materials in accordance with standards and expectations

Effectively and efficiently apply paint using appropriate equipment in accordance with paint specifications and quality requirements which the painter must visually recognize



Skills & Abilities

Basic understanding of Electrostatic Paint Controls and Application

Must be able to apply liquid topcoat in accordance with Quality Standards



Education and/or Experience

At least 1 year related work experienced (working in a manufacturing / production environment, or working in a painter role)



Physical Requirements

Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Function Test; Medical Questionnaire provided by the EHS Department

Must be able to pass a Qualitative Fit Test for use of Respirator; Fit Test provided by the EHS Department
